Bob Carpenter started with the firm in 1949, and after returning from the Air Force in 1956, became a partner. Over the last 50 years, he has established himself as a highly respected source of construction and design expertise in the area.

Will Carpenter began working for his father’s construction firms during his years at Hempfield Area Senior High School, and continued working during the summers and holidays until his graduation from the University of Colorado in 1984. In 1991, Will returned from San Francisco, where he had been working on his graduate degree in English Literature, to devote himself to construction full time. He became a partner when Carpenter Construction was formed in 1993 and continues as president to the present time.

Debbie Kniss began working for the company after her graduation in 1977 from business school. She began as a receptionist and over the years has fulfilled many roles in the company including controller. Today she functions as the office manager.

Bob Dean has been with Carpenter Construction for 23 years. Bob began as an intern from the Central Westmoreland Vocational Technical School while attending Mt. Pleasant Area High School. After graduation, he became a full-time carpenter, and in 1995 a foreman with responsibilities of running medium to large construction projects. In recent years, Bob has added the titles of Estimator and Construction Manager to his resume.
